Antique late 1800s Victorian bodice in an exceptionally rare velvet paisley textile.
I have been selling antique garments for many years, and this is the first time I have encountered this velvet paisley—truly an unusual and special find.
Constructed with 9 internal bones, a cotton lining, and detailed cuff finishes. The velvet portion remains strong and in very good condition, with no holes, tears, or underarm damage.
The silk front insert is deteriorating and will require repair or replacement. Overall condition is good, not perfect—this piece is absolutely worth saving and could be beautifully restored or remade.
